You will probably try to set the date for your wedding when you start your wedding planning. In order to set the wedding date, you will need to check if the venue you would like to have your wedding is available on that date or not. As a result, you will need to consider the venue together with the wedding date.

When you are choosing your wedding venue, you may fall into the trap of the perception that a bigger venue should be better. In fact this is not quite true. First of all, a bigger venue may usually cost you more money. Besides, you will not need a large venue if your are going to hold a small scale wedding. It will be nonsense to book a venue which can accommodate three hundred people if you are going to invite fifty guests only.

To this end you may know that the size of the venue you are going to choose should be determined by the number of guests you will invite. For example, if you are planning to invite 150 guests, you will probably book a venue which can accommodate 200 people. A small buffer for the number of guests to be accommodated can be a good idea since you may end up with 180 guests eventually. It will be a problem if you originally book a venue which can only accommodate 150 people and you finally get 180 guests.

You will also consider the ambiance of the wedding venue you are going to select. In fact this can be a very personal choice. You will probably try to find a venue which can match your wedding theme. It is certain that you will not book a hotel ballroom if you are planning to hold an outdoor wedding. However, if you are planning for a more traditional reception, a hotel ballroom can be already very perfect.

If you would like to hold a more unique wedding, you may consider holding your wedding on a train. Your wedding will be held during a journey on a train. Both you and your guests can enjoy the beautiful and marvelous scenery during the journey. There are different wedding planners which can arrange such wedding venues. Some locations you may consider for your wedding on train will be California, Maui and Arizona.

You may also book an outdoor place as your wedding venue. Among all outdoor wedding themes, beach weddings are probably one of the most popular. A beach wedding is usually more causal than a traditional one. You can forget nearly all the etiquette for weddings and enjoy the time with your guests. Again, the beautiful scenery on the sea side is certainly a plus for your wedding. You cannot imagine how romantic it will be if you are going to have your wedding on a sunny day on the beach. You will enjoy the beautiful sunset with your spouse and your guests.

When we talk about the venue itself, you have to bear in mind that every venue may have its own restrictions. This is usually related to the decorations. You should ask what those restrictions are so that unnecessary arguments can be avoided. You will also need to ask if there are any hidden or extra fees. For example some venues may charge you a cake cutting fee. Besides, asking if there will be any over running fee is a must.

Gorgeous and stylish wedding decorations are often the centerpiece of the wedding ceremony and reception, and can change the mood in any setting. Themed wedding decorations set the stage for your wedding theme, and can be used in many areas of your ceremony and reception locations. Common places to decorate for your wedding in an indoor and outdoor environment are:

At the Ceremony:

The Entrance or doorway (includes arches for outdoor gazebos and garden weddings)
Pews, chairs and Altars
Inside walls, or the first adjoining rooms from the entrance.
The area around the Guest Registry
Pathways and important wedding party vehicles

The Reception:

Outer door entrance
First entrance room
Tables - head table, food tables (buffet)
Walls
Wedding Cake (cake topper)
Ceilings

Since wedding ceremonies and receptions can pretty much happen anywhere that the couple choose, wedding decorations can apply based upon the theme you may choose. Decorating for your traditional wedding may mean beautiful pure white candles, fresh flower arrangements, embroidered cloth napkins. Planning to decorate for a fall wedding? This might mean pumpkins, preserves, ‘hanging harvests', grape vines strewn with gold and red colored leaves. Mood and setting will really influence where and how you decorate. See the room in the ‘whole picture' and think of the theme or feelings conveyed - do these match the same traits in the bride and groom?

Always remember your timeline. Since the wedding party is usually the biggest part of the decorating (unless you are using a wedding planner /coordinator) they must have a set plan for placing wedding decorations and taking them down. Often (especially in the case of a formal wedding such as a church) the wedding decorations must go up shortly before the wedding and are taken down immediately after. Think about the following details which will help you complete your decoration:

Colors and wedding theme, time of day of the wedding ceremony, location of the event, temperament of the bride and groom, feasibility and cost of design of decorating (budget), space to decorate and the total number of people attending.

Planning your wedding? Wedding decorations are going to be what sets the entire feel of your day so be sure that you love the decorations at both the ceremony and the reception. If you are on a budget, wedding decorations is also an area that offers plenty of room for cutting costs.

Choosing church wedding decorations really is not a difficult task. You will have to put some time and thought into it, but if you do your research you will not have any problem arranging the perfect atmosphere. Your decorations should be unique, so that your guests will remember it for a lifetime. Traditional decorations for a church wedding include pearls, lace, beads, fresh and dry flowers, crystals and candles. Pew bows can also be made from various color ribbons accented with flowers or objects that match a wedding theme and can be attached easily. Looking to set your wedding apart from every other wedding you've attended? Wedding decorations are the answer. You can create a magical, elegant, lavish, inviting or an enchanting atmosphere with the decorations you use. Be sure the decorations reflect the time of year when the wedding is taking place for example the Christmas season. A great way to decorate a wedding for the holiday season is to fill sleighs with holiday candies, favors for the guests, or the table card.

Planning to decorate for a fall wedding? This might mean pumpkins, preserves, hanging harvests, grape vines strewn with gold and red colored leaves. Brides planning an autumn wedding need creative fall wedding table decorations. Using simple and low-cost items, brides can capture the natural beauty of the season. Add fall silk leaves to the tiers on your wedding cake. Select table linens in rich fall colors and textures.

Candles are also a very affordable way to decorate a wedding reception. Candles strategically placed throughout the reception hall can add a hint of romance to the reception. Placed at tables, they can create some mood lighting. Flowers will last for at least a few more days and the vases can be recycled for a future event. Candles are a great favorite and they set a warm mood. You can use large pillar candles, floating candles in a nice bowl, a collection of votive candles in holders of different heights, taper candles, or perhaps tea lights surrounding a single flower vase. Since candles burn for different periods of time, keep in mind how long the reception will last.

You can also decorate the walkway leading up to the reception location for weddings in all seasons with paper bag luminaries. Adding special touches to the guests' tables will contribute to the memories of your wedding reception. Your guests will remember the people they sat with and shared pleasure, gossip, and laughter; they will remember the table settings, the food, the linens, the chairs, and the centerpiece; and they will remember the photos taken while they sat at the table, listening to the toasts.

This is your wedding and you can do, wear, design, and create the wedding of your dreams. Be sure you have fun while you are doing it.
